Two neighbors can have the same failed blower motor and receive quotes that sit hundred's of dollars apart. The gap rarely comes from the contractor.
Instead, it comes from the motor type inside the furnace and what else broke along with it. The fan motor, also called the blower motor, pushes heated air from your furnace through the ducts and out of your vents. When it fails, the burners may light, but little or no warm air reaches your rooms.
